About our weaning workshops

Yorkshire Born Yorkshire Fed offer weaning information workshops, ideal for parents of babies aged 3-8 months to learn the basics of weaning. During the two hour workshop, we will cover everything you need to know including:

  • What is weaning and why is it important?

  • When is the best time to start weaning?

  • Key foods for weaning

  • Weaning timescales

  • Baby-led weaning

  • Homemade weaning

  • Key things to look out for when weaning

  • Choking vs gagging

We run group sessions for up to ten parents at a time, in a variety of community venues across Yorkshire, plus online sessions. Babies welcome! Face-to-face session numbers are dependent on room size and Covid restrictions. Included with all of our sessions is ongoing support for you and your baby, plus take-home materials to keep you confident during your weaning journey. Find our full list of upcoming workshops and book here.

Evening and weekend sessions can be arranged upon request. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.

Private group weaning workshops

We also offer private workshops for groups of mum friends from the comfort of your own home, ideal for a group of mummy friends or playgroups etc. Our trainers will travel to your home or venue, bringing everything with them to help you understand weaning confidently.

Minimum group size is three or more for online, or five for face-to-face bookings. Price per person is reduced for groups of six or more adults.

We can accommodate evening and weekend sessions; please contact us if you have specific requirements.

Private one-to-one weaning sessions

We can also offer private one-on-one sessions for an additional cost, which offer a more relaxed and informal environment for you and your baby. These can be undertaken in your own home, wherever your baby feels comfortable, or online. Perfect for nervous mums and babies.
